Mulled Apple Cider

1 gallon of apple cider, unfiltered
5-6 sticks of cinnamon
4-5 anise stars
10-15 whole cloves
10-15 allspice berries
orange peels – several 1″ strips

optional:
1 teaspoon of salt if you think the cider is too sweet
squeeze the orange juice in
1/4-1/2 C brown sugar if you like it sweeter
10-15 whole black peppercorns for a little extra kick
I add more cinnamon sticks

Use a large crock pot and let simmer about 2 hours before serving. Remove the orange peels. Strain before serving if you want to.

    (not sure of my spelling there)

    Pert near the same as WS. Here, let me help you (although I think your spelling is funnier)….it is called gluhwein and has the same spices.
