Firehouse Cornbread

Locally-famous recipe from a Memphis Fireman.

1 C self-rising cornmeal
1/2 C self-rising flour
2-3 T sugar
2 eggs
enough buttermilk to make batter

Directions
Grease iron skillet & sprinkle w/salt & sugar. Pour in the batter & Bake until nearly done then flip in pan and continue baking until just golden.
