A Gospel Song a Day Keeps the Blues Away – Sheltered in the Arms of God

Dottie Rambo has a good many songs to her credit. This one is covered by Ricky Van Shelton, who happened to be my dear Mother-in-Law’s most favorite country singer….I mean she was a huge fan! Its a a blessing to know that my loved ones, who died in faith, are in the arms of God and that some day, I’ll be there with them. In the meantime, He keeps me safe and secure here on earth.

Sheltered in The Arms of God
by Dottie Rambo

I feel the touch of hands so kind and tender.
They’re leading me in the paths that I must trod.
I’ll have no fear for Jesus walks beside me
For I’m sheltered safe in the arms of God.

Chorus:
So let the storms rage high,
The dark clouds rise,
They won’t worry me;
For I’m sheltered safe within the arms of God.
He walks with me,
And naught of earth shall harm me,
For I’m sheltered in the arms of God.

Soon I shall hear the call from heaven’s portals.
Come home my child,
It’s the last mile you must trod
I’ll fall asleep
And wake in God’s new heaven
Sheltered in the arms of God.
