I rarely meet a plate of Chinese food that I don’t like. What are two of your favorites?
1 — Hot & Sour Soup – I adore this stuff.
2 — cheese wonton
These are a perfect match, much like tomato soup & grilled cheese.

I’ve never been one to not try a new food. Sometimes that is good, sometimes I have serious regrets. Name two of the weirdest things you’ve tried that you never want touching your precious palate again.
1 — squid, not calamari, this still looked squidish
2 — caviar, I don’t care how much it costs!

I don’t have a favorite Chinese food. I just don’t eat enough of it to have a favorite. But, I can tell you that cuttlefish is about the nastiest thing I have ever eaten.

We give dried cuttlefish to our bird. What are you doing eatin’ that stuff? LOL. I know, I know….I looked it up….cuttlefish is also a squid. I’m with ya — a big yuck!

I’m with you on the calamari eeww!
My second would be menudo. I never want villi on my tongue again:p

I love chinese food too and my two favs are
    Almond Chicken
    Wonton Soup

LOL, Wikipedia says menudo is a cure for a hangover — that tells me a lot right there. Eww.

Oh my goodness chinese food and the pregnant chick. I love General Tsu’s chicken I could eat that every day. And chicken fried rice.

I don’t like any kind of sea food. Ick you can’t make me eat it. Sushi, how gross is that?? Crab, lobster, oysters. It just is quite awful to me.

“chinese food and the pregnant chick” LOL!

One of our barn kitty’s name is Sushi — as close as I get to sushi, that’s for sure.

Favorite Chinese Food: sweet and sour pork and Mongolian beef

Weird Yucky Food: escargot and blood sausage

I downed a few dozen or so oysters on the half shell….in my wilder days, but could never work up to escargot.

I like eggrolls and wonton soup. 🙂

Yucky foods? Hmm, I can’t think of anything I don’t want touching my lips again. I have things I don’t like, but will eat once in a while. Oh, I remember raw fish. I don’t like that stuff.

    I posted mine.

    😉 I know…I’ve already checked it out!

  8. I posted on my blog. :0)

Crab Rangoon and Lo Mein. It would be impossible for me to order chinese food without ordering either of these two items.

Yukkiest would be oysters on the half shell and liver with onions. Oysters even looked gross. Why I ate one is beyond me. Liver smelled as bad as it tasted which should have been a great indication that I wouldn’t like it.

Have you watched Andrew Zimmern yet? The weird food guy? Anything he eats on his Bizzare Foods show is out of the question. But I do love watching his show.

Which food do you want to try Mom?

Is he the guy that won’t even eat lutefisk? Not that I blame him.
