Our Christmasy Tree

ornament-a1-icon.gif I need to blog something Christmasy because the news is just depressing and downright scary this week. Nothing to help one focus on the beauty of Christmas than handmade ornaments from your children, special ornaments from loved ones gone, and prized ornaments from dear husband.

Now why would this woman post a picture of her tree in a box? Well, I have waited years for this box….and this is the Christmas of the pre-lit Christmas tree! hollysmile.gif

Putting up the tree took about 20 minutes. However, decorating this year’s Christmas tree was a piecemeal project. It stayed like this out-of-the box state for a few days, which was OK with me because I am peachy happy about my pre-lit Christmas tree. OK, now close your eyes……what do you mean you already peeked?!! Christmas is no time for peeking!

OK, here it is……Christmas Tree 2007

  1. Uhhhhh….

Why are there unwrapped presents under your tree?
Those would be mine. 😀 Long ago, I got over knowing what all my presents are….I also got over having to wrap my own….usually, they never make it under the tree at all…..I am be especially ‘good’ this year. ~S

I think we have the same tree…LOL. Your’s is quite lovely my dear.

I was going to ask the same question CC asked but you have all ready answered.

Can’t wait to see the rest of the decorations….:-)

Sheri your tree is lovely! And it has so many lights, one could read by the light of your lovely tree!

I’m relieved that you are being a good girl this year
    … although …
one of those appliances might come in handy before Christmas. Best wishes on being good up until THE day of opening gifts. lol

  5. Elaine says:

When I already know what my gifts are I refuse to open the boxes until it’s been wrapped. My hubby and kids know that they better wrap my gifts cause otherwise I won’t open or even acknowledge it until I’ve unwrapped it.

    Beautiful tree.

Your tree is beautiful! I love Christmas trees 🙂

I know what my presents are too and like Elaine, I make the husband and daughter wrap them up so I can tear in to them on Christmas day 😀

  7. Chrystal says:

I peeked at your tree! LOL.
I love it though. It looks really good and I am happy you finally got your pre-lit tree.
I don’t know what I am getting for Christmas this year. I got an early one. Some new ‘smell good’. I am excited because usually I do know what I am getting. DH doesn’t even know this year and I am so excited to see his face, as I have been paying attention to his hints this year. 😉

When I was first married, I used to buy my own gifts, wrap them, and write on the tag “To: Wife From: Husband”. LOL Hubby has gotten to be a better shopper now and I don’t have to buy my own gifts or wrap them. 😀

What a pretty tree! You have lovely Christmas decorations.

I had to wrap a lot of my own presents this year too, but you know, I liked everything I got! 🙂
